Intercultural Psychology
Depth-Oriented Psychotherapy for Meaningful, Lasting Change
Depth-oriented psychotherapy for adults and couples in the San Francisco Bay Area and across California (in-person and virtual).
Bay Area psychologist Dr. Nadia Thalji
Welcome. Your inner life matters here.
I offer depth-oriented, culturally responsive psychotherapy for adults and couples across the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout California (in-person and virtual).
Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals navigating emotional complexity, identity questions, relationship challenges, and the pressures of modern life. Therapy provides a grounded, confidential space to slow down, reflect, and make meaningful change.
Clients often seek support for:
• Trauma and unresolved emotional pain
• Burnout, stress, and high-achieving overwhelm
• Identity, belonging, and life transitions
• Relationship challenges, including cross-cultural dynamics
• Anxiety, depression, and relational patterns
You don’t have to navigate these experiences alone.
Therapy can be a place to understand, integrate, and heal — with depth, care, and cultural awareness.
Depth psychology attends to both your conscious experience and the deeper, often unconscious layers shaping your emotions, relationships, and life patterns.
In our work together, we may:
• Explore recurring narratives and relational patterns
• Understand how culture and family history shape identity
• Develop somatic and emotional awareness
• Work with dreams, imagery, and symbolic meaning
• Process early and intergenerational experiences
• Reconnect with your inner clarity and wisdom
This approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and attuned — supporting meaningful transformation from within, not just symptom relief.
Serving the San Francisco Bay Area & All of California

Land and Labor Acknowledgment – Intercultural Psychology
At Intercultural Psychology, we acknowledge that our work takes place on the unceded ancestral lands of the Coast Miwok and Ramaytush Ohlone peoples, the original stewards of what is now known as Mill Valley and San Francisco. We also honor the lives and labor of enslaved Africans, whose exploitation played a central role in building this nation.
We recognize the enduring impacts of colonization, slavery, systemic violence, and stand firmly against all forms of genocide—past and present.
Our commitment is to collective healing, cultural humility, and restorative action. May our work contribute to a more just, inclusive, and compassionate world for all beings.
